Max/MSP is a powerful digital tool for composers and sound artists alike to create sound and sound-infrastructure from scratch. If you've ever been intrigued by the possibilities it offers but found yourself daunted by its complexity, this mini-course is your gateway into getting started with Max/MSP.
Max/MSP users Signe Heinfelt and Jessica Sligter will offer acclimatization with the program’s possibilities to produce and manipulate sound, through play and exposure. We’ll familiarize ourselves with the basic infrastructure and functioning of the program, and explore examples of its use.
Perfect for those who want to feel ready to apply for Notam’s intensive Max/MSP-course.
Participants receive a 3 month free license for Max/MSP, kindly donated by Cycling ‘74.
Requirements:
No previous experience with Max/MSP, or beginners level.

you work professionally with music or sound, or have the ambition to do so.
you will need a computer with a normal audio input and output, which can run Max/MSP.
a usb- or midi-keyboard.
