Exploring Sound Connections and Tools

An exercise of “Blues in Technology in the Perspective of Sonic Culture”

with Eiliyas

Saturday 21st of December 2024

12-16 Uhr

Location: Morphine Raum, Köpenicker Straße 147, Berlin

What?

For this workshop we want to consider our relationship to music and sounds in general. The artist is a sound designer as well sound artist and will walk you through his own personal journey of considering interfaces in finding a new sound and way to create music. The session will end with participants engaging with self exploration through everyday tools. Namely using  music making software to create atypical presets, then playing them and exploring how it makes them feel through the process of that exploration and to consider what it is that they have learned through this exploration.

Requirements for participation:

  • You’re a Berlin-based music professional in the early stages of establishing your practice

Bring with you:

  • A song that they have a memory associated with and the willingness to share

  • Keyboard Midi Controller

Entry Fee: Voluntary donation. Suggested donation for this workshop: € 10

This workshop is wheelchair accessible, and assistance dogs are welcome.
